Q.01What is the Bavarian Familiengeld?

The Bavarian Familiengeld of 250 €/month is paid for children aged 3–6 who do not use (or use only part-time) a subsidised daycare place. It supplements the federal Elterngeld and is not income-tested.

Q.02How do I apply for Familiengeld in Bavaria?

Apply at the Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS) — online or by post. Documents: birth certificate, daycare status proof, IBAN.
